In 2004/05 I served as President of the Toronto Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the world's leading professional association representing strategic business communication professionals.  With 1650 members,  IABC/Toronto is  the largest chapter in this organization. In 2006-08 I served as a Trustee on the Research Foundation of the International Association of Business Communicators where I helped to lead a study on generational differences in communications with Deloitte. I'm currently serving as the incoming chair of IABC's Canada East Region. I also serve on the executive of my Toastmasters chapter.

People often ask me how on earth I can find the time to give my time.  It's simple. I do it because I really enjoy it. No matter how busy we are, we can always find time to do something that brings us pleasure.  It’s also fun being part of an exclusive community of like-minded professionals.

My volunteer involvement  provides exciting opportunities to dabble in new things in a friendly and supportive environment with many interesting, talented and supportive volunteers. I'm proud of what I'm accomplishing  with these inspiring people, many of whom have now become a friend.  I'm also delighted to be able to share some of my expertise and advice with those just starting out in the field.

Here's a snapshot of some of my accomplishments.
